

Elsa Noterman
Elsa Noterman is Senior Lecturer in the School of Geography and Director of the City Centre at Queen Mary University of London. Her research takes a decolonial and critical legal geography approach to questions of urban property in the U.S. and U.K. – especially related to land and housing justice. She publishes her work in geography and legal studies journals, including in Social & Legal Studies, Annals of the American Association of Geographers, Environment and Planning D: Society and Space, Antipode, Transactions of the Institute of British Geographers, CITY and Urban Geography. She is involved in a number of community research projects, including an ongoing project on gender inclusive design of green spaces in London. She also works to support and promote student research in East London through the ongoing development of the East London Atlas (https://eastlondonatlas.qmul.ac.uk/).
